Summary:

Responsible to Trumbull Regional Medical Center for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values. Responsible to Imaging Service at Trumbull Regional Medical Center for performing all facets of echocardiographic procedures. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a college or technical training program in Echocardiography Technology required. Registry in Echo-Cardiac Sonography required.
• Previous experience as a Cardiac Sonographer preferred. After orientation, up to three months' experience on this job is required to perform essential functions and to handle emergency situations
• Certification in BLS by the American Heart Association required.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

• Performs all duties on skills checklist related to echocardiographic diagnostic studies
• Demonstrates professional behavior, prepares and performs technical non-invasive procedures or studies, provides quality patient care,
• Operates equipment safely, processes information in the appropriate areas, performs procedures in an organized and efficient manner, and performs other duties as assigned.
